Once again, it’s been a while. Sorry about that – I really must get better at posting more often. But I’m here now, so let’s get on with it…
Last summer was one of, if not the best summer I’ve had on a bike. Working in education means I get a whole six weeks to do pretty much whatever I want. In 2018 that meant riding bikes. A fortnight in the Alps early doors meant I got to consolidate what I learned by riding more DH type stuff than ever before. Of course, it also helped trying to chase Tanner down the side of an Alp – he will always be quicker than me when the trail points down, but I was getting quicker.
I rode quite a bit of trail as well, once again getting quicker, and even began to enjoy climbing (well, maybe not enjoy, but definitely tolerate it). I even got quite a lot of road miles in as well!
I’m back in the Alps again this summer, hoping to push myself further still. Who knows? I may even survive a few more Red runs!
